The Essex Superior ‘Shell and Case’ – Royal Family Specification

A traditional solid Oak coffin, hand-made with a ‘post and frame’ style construction, using separate panels and ends. Raised lid and mount for plate of inscription. Triple moulding to lid and base.

The inner ‘shell’ is a further solid Oak coffin wrapped externally with dressed lead which is then placed snuggly within the outer ’case’ This superior coffin is fitted with unique Solid Brass fittings.

Suitable only for burial.

All our solid wood products are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified which guarantees that the wood we use comes from trees grown in responsibly managed forests or other controlled sources.
